Bruce King is a recovering structural engineer with 40 years of experience designing buildings of every size and type around the world, from Port-au-Prince to Palo Alto. He is the author of "Buildings of Earth and Straw," "Making Better Concrete," "Design of Straw Bale Buildings," and "The New Carbon Architecture."

Mr. King is also the Founder and Director of the Ecological Building Network (EBNet), a non-profit information resource that puts on the BuildWell conferences and is developing the online library of low-carbon construction, the BuildWell Source.
