Frances specializes in how environmentally preferable and healthier materials contribute to whole-life sustainability performance of our built environment. She is active in Arup's partnership with Ellen McArthur Foundation - developing knowledge pieces on Circular Economy and co-authored "Circular Economy in the Built Environment: Opportunities for Local Government Leadership" with StopWaste of Alameda County. Frances has presented Arup's global work on circular economy at Cradle-to-Cradle Built Positive workshops and other events, and contributes to essential collaboratives in the sustainable materials community, including the C2C Advisory Group, Carbon Leadership Forum, AIA Materials Knowledge Working Group, and Health Product Declaration Technical Committee.
